In the form of a hot air balloon, the chandelier type takes its name from the French brothers Joseph-Michel and Jacques-Etienne Montgolfier who developed the first hot air balloon which flew September 19th century, 1783. The envelope of glass bead chains with band of glass rosettes, to applied gilt metal swags and gilt metal rosettes with tassels to rope cables with conforming rosettes to ring loops, with rising scrolls, the pierced skirt with further conforming gilt metal swags issuing six scroll arms terminating in petal drip trays and faux candles, the basket with central faux flame light.
