The ribbed inverted baluster body embellished in the brocaded Imari style with fan and scroll cartouches bearing floral and figured landscape scenes to either side of two central shaped cartouches each bearing cranes in a landscape, the central cartouches elaborately bordered with traditional textile patterns overlaid with further cartouches bearing flowers on a scrolled floral background with floral friezes to the base and collar, the base with a further geometric frieze, the body of the vase rising to a ribbed neck with a striped geometric pattern, the ribbed cover with an everted rim and high dome embellished in a conforming design to the body, rising to a cockerel finial, the whole in the Imari palette, raised on a turned circular ebonized stand.
