The male figure cast wearing a tunic and a straw hat, with his right arm outstretched as if to hold a fishing rod, his left arm in a gestural pose, seated on a stump from which emanates a mask fountainhead, modelled on the 1st century CE Roman ‘Fisherman’ uncovered in Pompeii circa 1823-1826, now housed in the Naples Archaeological Museum. The bronze figure raised on a shaped stepped marble base.
