Cast from the original 18^th century French Versailles Urn. The neck flaring to flat top with scoop fluted sides each flute with bell flower decoration, the body of ovoid form, oak leaf meander at top, a pair of high relief fruit and foliate swags at sides looped through the horns of opposing satyr masks, each mask crowned with vine leaves and grapes, each with forked beard and leering expression, a lug ring handle centred above each swag; the urns waist with leaf moulding, the whole on cavetto stem with flower moulded astragal and leaf moulding on circular foot, the whole on square base.
