The upper section with a breakfront arched pediment cornice flanked by a pair of urn finials, over a pair of arched glazed doors opening to an arrangement of compartments and central pair of smaller doors flanked by engaged columns over shaped drawers, the writing slope opening to  further recessed compartments between graduated shelves, the lower section with two short drawers over two long drawers on bun feet, the whole with raised gilt decoration.

Attributed to John Belchier (d. 1753), a cabinet maker in St. Paul's Churchyard who specialized in lacquer work.
