The arched rectangular backrest with a gentle rake and yoke top rail, descending to padded scrolling acanthus armrests carved in walnut, the supports sweeping forward to unite with the serpentine shaped seat and frame, further scrolling acanthus carvings to the front apron and a cabochon clasp housed in acanthus scrolls centring the knee of each cabriole leg, terminating in an acanthus foot, the whole upholstered in olive hued leather.
