(G69) A charming representation of the bodhisattva of compassion, with a pleasing symmetry of form, seated at ease in dhyanasana, her straight body perfectly balanced, her hands in vitarka mudra, her round head surmounted by a lofty foliate diadem, bearing the carved image of the seated Amitabha Buddha on its petal-shaped frontal facet, details enlivened with vermilion and blue-black pigment, her hair drawn up behind into a high topknot, with some tresses looped around her ears and trailing in splayed tendrils over her level shoulders, a curved hairline framing her plump face with naturalistically carved features, an urna mark in the centre of her forehead, between her high-arching eyebrows, surmounting her half-closed, slanted eyes with the gaze humbly downcast, her full lips forming a soft pout, draped in an ornamental shoulder scarf, her body swathed in a form-hugging dhoti, enhanced with vermilion and blue-black pigments, with an intricate foliate necklace sitting at the collar, a cord tied around her upright waist, the folds in the fabric rendered in concentric curves, with both feet exposed..
