The bodhisattva exquisitely carved, her elaborate pierced coronet decorated with the seated figure of the Amitabha Buddha, set upon the characteristically round face with curved hairline, her hair swept back into a dramatically rendered, high-looped chignon, some twisted locks falling about her level shoulders, the urna  embedded in the centre of her forehead, with sharply defined, high-arching eyebrows surmounting stone-set eyes, modestly downcast emanating an aura of aloofness and composure, the small lips pursed in a somewhat austere fashion, her pendulous lobes displaying large disc-shaped earrings, a double-tiered chain festooning the upper chest, double bands of armlets and bracelets encircling the arms, the brahmanic cord tied diagonally across the torso and around the waist, securing her dhoti so that it falls in a double-layered skirt, the folds in the drapery finely modelled, seated in lalitasana,the left leg crossed horizontally in front of the body, the right hanging down naturally, her left hand rests upon the left leg, her right rests, palm facing upward, in a form of karana mudra the brahmanic cord held loosely in her palm, the whole set upon a rocky naturalistic base with a carved lotus flower beneath the right foot.
